Guatemala Opens 150 Call Center Scholarships for Young Adults

Members of Guatemala’s BPO & contact center sector, along with the country’s association for exports (AGEXPORT) and the Ministry of Economy, have made available 150 scholarships to improve English language skills and achieve employment in the industry.
The scholarships are part of a “Finishing School Certification for Call Center Representatives” program that lasts for 10 weeks (400 hours of effective training) and can result in a salary almost three times the minimum wage, at an average of Q6,000.
From 2015 to date, the Finishing School program has trained 634 young people from all over the country.
Young people aged between 18 and 29 years who are interested in the program can participate in the Open House to be held at the AGEXPORT facilities in Guatemala City (14 calle 14-30 zona 13) on November 7, 9, 10, 14, 16 and 17.
