HCL Names Fabino Funari as Country Head in Brazil

HCL Technologies has named Fabino Funari as its country manager in Brazil, where the Indian IT services firm has employed more than 800 people.

“Global connections” are crucial, stated the IT services provider, adding that there is a growing demand for digital transformation services in Latin America’s largest economy.

HCL tech, which runs large offices in Sao Paulo, Sau Leopoldo, and Curitiba, claims to be serving 30 clients in the region.

Funari has a “deep understanding” of the local market, and previously served for various global technology companies, HCL stated in a press release.

HCL expanded to Brazil in 2009 with an office in Sao Paulo. Today it runs around half a dozen delivery centers spread across states including Rio de Janeiro, Parana, and Pernambuco. Its other delivery centers elsewhere in Latin America are in Guatemala City and Guadalajara.

HCL provides application development, software testing, and IT infrastructure management services.
