Jamaica Positioning Itself as Golf Tourism Hot-spot

While countries like the Dominican Republic have been leading the region’s golf industry, Jamaica is positioning itself as the next big Caribbean golf tourism destination.

Home to four world-class golf courses, namely The White Witch, Cinnamon Hill, Half Moon, and the Tryall Club, Montego Bay is a particular hot-spot for golfers who want to spend a few days on the beautiful, sun-kissed links.

“I don’t want people to play golf while they’re in Jamaica; I want people to come to Jamaica to play golf,” said Donnie Dawson, Deputy Director of Tourism, Sales/USA and Latin America for the Jamaica Tourist Board.
