JetBlue Announces New York to Cartagena Nonstop

NEW YORK /PRNewswire/ — JetBlue Airways (JBLU) today announces that tickets for its highly anticipated flight from New York to Cartagena, Colombia, the only nonstop service between the two cities, are now available for sale in the United States.

Effective November 2, 2012, JetBlue will launch three weekly flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Rafael Nunez International Airport (CTG) on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights for U.S.-originating travel are on sale now through July 20, 2012 for as low as $149 one way from JFK to Cartagena for travel between November 2, 2012 and February 9, 2013.

Cartagena is JetBlue’s second destination in Colombia and its third route to the country. Earlier this summer, JetBlue added a daily Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Bogota service to complement its existing daily Orlando to Bogota route. JetBlue has been flying to Colombia since 2009.

“Cartagena is finally within reach!” said John Checketts, director of route planning for JetBlue Airways. “At the convenient prices we offer, it’s a bargain to go visit ‘La Heroica,’ one of the most coveted destinations on the Colombian Caribbean Coast.”

JetBlue’s flights between New York and Cartagena will be operated with its comfortable Airbus A320 fleet and award-winning service featuring convenient, assigned seating; a first-checked bag free, complimentary and unlimited name brand snacks and drinks, comfy leather seats, and more legroom than any other carrier in coach.
