The 2011 edition of the Nearshore Americas’ Power 50 Ranking — identifying the most influential executives in the Nearshore outsourcing industry – will feature, for the first time, five judges who will review nominations and determine who makes the list and where they rank. The first edition of the Power 50 ranking premiered last year to an overwhelmingly positive response. The ranking strives to identify the most active, engaged and visionary executives in the $14 billion Nearshore business services market.
Joining on as judges for this year’s program include:
Nicolo Gligo: Recently served as Executive Director, USA, CORFO, the Chilean Government’s lead trade promotion agency. Gligo has been deeply involved in execution of CORFO’s financial incentives for pre-investments studies, HR training, fixed assets acquisition, long-term property leasing, and R&D projects. He is widely regarded as one of the top experts on trade promotion practices in Latin America.
Kirk Laughlin: CEO and Founder of media and event properties Nearshore Americas, Nearshore Nexus, Sourcing Brazil and Global Delivery Report. Laughlin, who is based in the US, is an award-winning journalist and a leading expert on the Nearshore/ Latin America IT and BPO services marketplace.
Chris Nuttall: Member of PA Consulting’s Management Group with twenty years’ experience in planning, managing and leading strategic business-focused consulting and advisory assignments and one of the best known advisory experts on nearshore shared services in Latin America over the last several years.
John Parkinson: Senior Vice President and the head of the Global Program Office at Axis Capital, Founder of ParkWood Advisors and previously Chief Technology Officer for TransUnion. Parkinson also served as a Chief Technologist at Capgemini and, prior to that, he was a senior partner at Ernst & Young.
Pablo Velasco: Consultant at Technology Partners International (TPI) since 2005 involved in significant assignments with Fortune 500 companies both in the US and Latin America specializing in: IT outsourcing, negotiations and contract analysis. He was previously an executive with EDS.
Because of their involvement in the program, all judges will be exempted from consideration in the actual ranking.
Nominations will be received through an easy-to-use online submission form, beginning in early July. The final ranking will be made public in early September.
