With passenger volume on the rise through Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica, the company that runs it has announced plans to start a $10 million renovation. The terminal serves many trying to reach the nation’s beautiful Pacific beaches, and it the revamp is expected to be complete by the second quarter of 2017, according to the Tico Times. The airport saw a jump of nearly 100,000 passengers in 2015 as it became a hub for three international airlines, SouthWest Airlines (from Houston), Alaska Airlines (from Los Angeles), and the U.K.-based Thomson Airways (from London).
