Nearshore Forum: Panama is Overlooked Far Too Often

Sandwiched between two of Nearshore’s major names in Costa Rica and Colombia, Panama does not always get the credit nor coverage it perhaps deserves.

Home to one of the world’s busiest man-made waterways, Panama is a vital hub on the world trade map. The country’s population – some 4.3 million in 2020 – so-so English-language abilities, and understandable focus on other economic avenues, has meant that it has been often overlooked.

Is that set to change?

Nearshore Americas caught up with Arin Sime, a serial tech entrepreneur and CEO and founder of AgilityFeat Inc, a tech staffing firm based out of Panama City, to hear why Panama should be considered by all companies interested in expanding into Central America.

Sime offered insights on the country’s continuity and burgeoning tech industry. He also spoke about Honduras and Nicaragua, where AgilityFeat also has a presence.
