Matt KendallFounded in Argentina in 2011, Simplex Software is a multi-service software company with expertise in Blockchain, data analytics, mobile, front-end, and back-end development, and QA automation.
The company has offices in Buenos Aires and Junin, which is approximately 200 miles west of the capital, employing over 45 full-stack engineers with plans to add 15 more by the end of the year.
Founders Juan Pablo Gutierrez, Shadi Calcagni, and Nicolas Mosconi started with web applications and e-commerce portals for small companies in Junin, eventually attracting larger-scale companies in Buenos Aires and the US.
“We’re constantly looking to incorporate senior developers in diverse areas of expertise, with our most recent search being for Blockchain engineers,” said Mosconi, addressing talent acquisition in Argentina.
I used Simplex and they were a massive letdown. Late, over-budget and very poor quality code. This is a very simple app that somehow has a massive amount of technical debt.
They staffed a very new developer to build an app in a language (react native) he barely knew. They didn’t oversee or review his work, and I didn’t catch on until the very end. Rather than have someone more experienced jump in and fix it, they let him try to fix it himself before I cut off the project.
