US-based customer contact management company Outplex has expanded operations in the Dominican Republic, and plans to add 300 more employees to its workforce there.
Founded by former AT&T Executive, theFort Lauderdale, Florida-based BPO provider established a delivery center in Santo Domingo in 2012, employing around 300 people.
The company said in a statement it is expanding the floorspace at its office in the Torre Cristal building by 15,000 square feet and that the expansion would help it double its workforce at its Dominican Republic facilities.
Outplex, formerly known as Talk2Rep, was rebranded in October 2018.
“We are excited for this next phase of nearshore development, which will enable Outplex to scale with our current clients, and provide significant savings to future clients,” said CEO Jim Ryan.
With nearly 1,000 employees, many of them home-based in the US, Outplex provides customer service, live chat, and technical support for companies including Comcast, AT&T, Lowe’s, and American Express.
Other clients are in the education, finance, energy, insurance, and retail sectors.
Outplex has attributed the expansion to its financial performance in the past two quarters, emphasizing that the Dominican Republic operations help it provide services “at a significant cost saving”.
