Launching a media venture isn’t so easy in Latin America. To help, a new community called SembraMedia has sprouted up to allow digital publishers to band together to overcome challenges collaboratively and share their stories of success. The goal is to work together on innovative ideas and form a directory of media startups that can help each other through tough times. “Our mission is to support people who are creating new projects,” SembraMedia Executive Director Janine Warner told NiemanLab. “One of the best ways to do that is to empower as many people as possible and bring them together.”
