Spanish multinational Groupo Oesía is planning to invest about $1 million in Argentina to set up an innovation hub in Córdoba.
The new delivery center will focus on cybersecurity services and is expected to create around 100 jobs.
Oesía’s executive president, Luis Furnells, told local media that he aims to generate 100 jobs in Córdoba and up to 400 across Andalusia, with a total investment of about $1.1 million by 2027.
The company already has a presence in Latin America, including Colombia and Peru. It first entered Argentina in 2010, opening a delivery center in Buenos Aires, where it now employs around 300 people.
Founded nearly 50 years ago, Oesía operates in more than 40 countries. Its annual revenue stands at about $270 million, and it employs roughly 3,700 workers, most of them based in Spain.
In Argentina, the company will initially focus on digital transformation, innovation, and cybersecurity projects for both the public and private sectors. In the second phase, it plans to expand into security and defense projects.
Córdoba is fast emerging as a tech hub for international firms. Recently, Sigma Software Group, a Ukraine-based IT consulting and software development company, and Ithreex Global, a Spain-based cybersecurity and cloud solutions provider, also expanded their operations in the city.
