Sutherland Global Jamaica Expanding Presence in Middlesex County

BPO provider Sutherland Global has leased out a new retrofitted facility in Jamaica’s Middlesex County, with plans to add 1,000 more staff to its workforce in the country.

The new delivery center is located in Kingsland, just outside of the town of Mandeville, and has 60,000 square feet of floor space, reports Jamaica Observer Central, citing an email conversation with Odetta Rockhead-Kerr, Country Head of Sutherland Global.

“We have grown tremendously and our clients are satisfied and impressed by the quality of the output from our Ward Avenue location,” said Rockhead-Kerr. “Since starting up in Mandeville, we have been very impressed with the talent, the work ethic, and the industry of our employees. As a result of that we have grown from under 1,000 to 1,500 employees in little under a year — mostly from existing clients who have seen the results and want more.”

Sutherland Global says it has greatly benefited from the easy availability of human resources and the cost-effective real estate in Mandeville, where it begin operations in 2015.
