Tek Experts Set for Large-Scale Expansion in Costa Rica

Bulgarian technology services provider Tek Experts has announced that it would add as many as 1,000 employees to its operations in Costa Rica by the end of this year.

The large-scale hiring could make Tech Experts one of the biggest employers in Costa Rica’s nearshore services industry. The expansion marks the company’s 10 years of operations in the country.

Tek Experts arrived in Costa Rica in 2012, saying the Central American country fits well into its goal of providing tech support services to its clients in the United States.

In 2017, the company launched one more delivery center and hired nearly 500 new staff, with its executives claiming that nearshore operations helped it save a large sum of money in logistics.

In 2021, its headcount swelled by another 800 employees. Now it is talking about constructing a large corporate office to house its all employees.

Tek Experts is reportedly looking to hire bilinguals with expertise in IT solutions and software development.

Founded in Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, Tek Experts has operations in China, Vietnam, Rwanda, and Nigeria in addition to the United States. Interestingly, nearly half of its global workforce is based out of Costa Rica.

“In these 10 years that we have been present in Costa Rica, we have grown, evolved, and improved hand-in-hand with our clients and collaborators,” stated Luis Campos, country manager of Tek Experts in Costa Rica.
