The Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technologies (CUTI) has formally elected 25-year industry alumni Leonardo Loureiro as its new president.
Originally starting out as a computer engineer, Loureiro has a strong orientation towards innovation and technology, working with large organizations in the IT sector for decades. He is currently the international business development manager at Quanam, an IT services company with presence in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, and the US.
He joined CUTI’s board 12 years ago, serving as treasurer for 4 years and as stand-in president for the last year and a half.
His proposal for the 2018-2020 period, according to CUTI, is to “empower the technological ecosystem to enter a new stage of development, thus achieving growth opportunities for all players in the industry”.
