Volkswagen has appointed CI&T, a global technology transformation services provider, as its Digital Agency of Record (DAOR) in the United States.
Under the partnership, CI&T will oversee the automaker’s core digital marketing and ownership ecosystem — including strategy, design, and development for VW.com and the myVW app.
The DAOR role goes beyond managing a website or app; it is a central pillar of Volkswagen’s customer experience strategy. CI&T plans to leverage Generative AI tools and a product-led approach to accelerate delivery, ensuring solutions align with user needs while generating business value.
The collaboration has already supported key U.S. launches, including the all-electric ID. Buzz, the third-generation Tiguan, and the refreshed Taos. CI&T’s GenAI-enabled processes and nearshore delivery model are designed to enable faster updates and launches — a critical advantage in a market where vehicle models, incentives, and features evolve rapidly.
Volkswagen Chief Marketing Officer Rachael Zaluzec said the brand aims to reimagine every customer touchpoint to be “more seamless, intuitive, and valuable.”
Nick Haywood, CI&T’s Senior Vice President of Automotive, described the appointment as a chance to deliver “smarter, customer-centric digital experiences that empower dealers, engage drivers, and bring the future of the brand to life.”
