Altia Technology Park Opens First Tower in Tegucigalpa

Altia Technology Park’s first tower business complex in Tegucigalpa will generate more than 2,500 new jobs. The US$22 million, eight-storey smart building, the first of its kind, was inaugurated recently by executives of Grupo Karim’s. The vision is that the development will eventually host a shopping center, a convention center, and residences near the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (Unitec).

Grupo Karim’s President, Yusuf Amdani said at the launch: “This is another firm step in the development and generation of employment in Honduras in which hundreds of Hondurans can offer services to global companies.” Construction of two more towers will start soon, a second in Tegucigalpa and another in San Pedro Sula’s Altia Smart City. The latter will also include a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel.
