Global digital transformation services firm Altimetrik launched operations in Costa Rica without a delivery center, saying tech “talent and opportunities have no border”.
The Michigan-based company will hire around 50 persons in the Central American country, allowing all the employees to work remotely in the US time zone.
Costa Rica is the perfect place to tap into the technology talent south of the US border, said Altimetrik, pointing to its central location.
“Some reasons for setting up shop in a country like Costa Rica are its proximity to both North and South America, highly trained and multilingual talent and a great investment climate,” stated Omar Arana, country manager for Altimetrik Costa Rica.
La empresa @Altimetrik llega a #CostaRica para brindar servicios relacionados con transformación digital, tecnología y finanzas, desarrollo de productos y big data a mercados como Estados Unidos y Europa.

Altimetrik’s Costa Rican employees will work from the comfort of their homes and get paid in US dollars. Plus, the company will pay their Internet expenses, health insurance coverage and food vouchers.
Altimetrik is not new to Latin America. It runs delivery centers in Mexico and Uruguay as well.
Pilar Madrigal, Director of Cinde, Costa Rica’s investment promotion agency, thanked Altimetrik for giving opportunities to Costa Ricans, adding that the country’s digital services exports reached US$1.4 billion in 2021.
