French IT services giant Atos expanded operations to the tiny Brazilian town of Londrina, in the state of Paraná, as part of its continued lookout for skilled software developers in Latin America’s biggest economy.
Atos’ newly launched Innovation and Technology Center has seating for more than 500 workers, according to local media reports.
Atos has been present in Brazil for more than 25 years now, with its main operations center based in the country’s commercial city of São Paulo.
Atos, which won the Great Place to Work (GPTW) award for two years straight, provides numerous incentives for its employees, including health and life insurance cover, as well as meal vouchers.
In spite of the incentives, recruiting skilled IT workers has remained a challenge. The French firm began recruitment for Londrina office in February this year. Alexandre Benatti, Atos’ HR Director, says the Brazilian employees can even expect to be posted at the company’s offices elsewhere in the world.
A large majority of Atos’ Brazilian employees worked from home in 2021, but most of them have returned to the office. The French IT firm plans to implement hybrid work culture, giving employees an option to work from home at least for a couple of days a week.
