MIAMI — Neoris today announces that its contribution to a new global employee collaboration platform helped CEMEX earn a prestigious social media award. This year’s Forrester Groundswell Award in the category for management: collaboration system recognizes CEMEX’s new collaboration platform, called Shift.
Shift combines elements of popular social networks, wikis, and communications tools to encourage efficient and meaningful company-wide sharing of innovative ideas and best practices. In developing Shift, CEMEX leveraged Neoris’ expertise in technology integration, user adoption, and mobile deployment.
“Embarking on this program took a partner with experience integrating social media with business processes and employee communications,” said Sergio Escobedo, innovation director at CEMEX. “The team at Neoris was strategic in developing this program, and the resulting recognition of Shift as the new standard in collaboration, less than one year after inception, was made possible by their work.”
Launched in January of this year, more than 17,500 CEMEX employees worldwide are now active users of the Shift platform. Since its launch more than 500 virtual communities transcending typical corporate structures, departments, and titles, have been created by users, with topics ranging from best practices in environmental stewardship, to streamlining supply chains, to sharing sales successes. In the “Value Propositions” community, for example, 239 employee ideas have been posted and 118 are in the process of adoption across the company.
“The Forrester Groundswell Awards spotlight the best collaboration, social, and innovation programs around the world. All of us at Neoris are proud of our contribution toward CEMEX’s achievement,” said Claudio Muruzabal, CEO of Neoris. “By integrating technology with business processes to create Shift, we put collaboration at the center of CEMEX’s global workforce.”
The fourth annual Forrester Groundswell Awards recognize CEMEX for the Shift platform’s use of social media applications toward achieving genuine employee collaboration. This year there were more than 130 entries to the Forrester Groundswell Awards in four divisions including Business-to-Business (B2B), Business-to-Consumer (B2C), Management, and International.
