Lean Solutions Group (LSG) has acquired Rapido Solutions Group, expanding its AI-enabled transportation and logistics outsourcing platform while significantly strengthening its nearshore operations in Mexico.
The acquisition combines two companies focused exclusively on transportation and logistics, creating an organization with about 13,000 employees across six countries serving more than 600 customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Founded in 2019, Chicago-based Rapido Solutions Group provides nearshore business services to freight brokerages, third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and asset-based carriers. The company operates delivery centers in Guadalajara and León, Mexico, offering carrier sales, customer support, back-office administration, technology operations and sales support.
For LSG, the deal expands its operational footprint in Mexico, which has become an increasingly important nearshore destination for logistics outsourcing because of its proximity to the United States, aligned time zones and growing pool of bilingual logistics professionals. The company said the expanded presence will strengthen its ability to support cross-border freight operations and customers operating under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
The acquisition also enhances LSG’s carrier sales capabilities and extends its AI offerings across Rapido’s customer base. Rapido’s teams will gain access to LSG’s LeanTek platform, including AgentEdge, an AI-powered workflow automation tool, and LeanTek Connect, a platform that integrates operational data, workflows and performance management. LSG said the objective is to help logistics providers adopt AI while retaining specialized industry expertise.
The transaction reflects a broader consolidation trend in transportation and logistics outsourcing as service providers combine AI technologies with industry-specific talent to improve operational efficiency rather than relying solely on labor arbitrage.
The Rapido acquisition is LSG’s latest expansion move following its acquisition of Lead2Revenue earlier this year and the integration of Hubtek’s services division.
