Confie Expands BPO Operations in Tijuana With New Contact Center

Seguros Confie, a BPO arm of an American insurance broker, launched another contact center in the Mexican city of Tijuana, located right next to the US-Mexico border.

Califnornia-based Confie already has a 1,200 strong workforce in Tijuana. With its new facility, it seeks to add another 200 bilingual employees to its ranks.

Confie installed its first delivery center in Tijuana in 2010 with the goal of supporting its own insurance clients in the US. However, the company soon began picking up customer service contracts from other financial services providers.

Our team of skilled professionals and bilingual agents work across multiple channels to communicate with customers to deliver positive, measurable results for businesses, says Cesar Soriano, CEO, Confie.

The Tijuana facility operates round the clock, providing call center support as well as back-office processing services.

Founded in 2008, Confie focuses on the insurance needs of Hispanic consumers. It operates hundreds of retail locations in 23 US states. In June 2021, Confie was acquired by its rival, Alliant Insurance Services.

Confie is one of the American firms tapped by the White House to create jobs in Central America as part of its bid to tame migration flows from the region. Bloomberg reported in June that Confie was in talks with Guatemalan authorities to launch a contact center.
