Non-profit accelerator Endeavor is opening a new office in Puerto Rico to provide local entrepreneurs with access to capital, talent, and mentors, citing “high-impact” potential in the country.
The company said the island has a growing startup community with a history of success in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. These have been the building blocks, it says, for developing a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem.
“We believe that now, more than ever, high-impact entrepreneurs have a leading role to play in rebuilding Puerto Rico and transforming the economy,” said Co-founder and CEO Linda Rottenberg. “We’re excited to support Puerto Rico’s most talented founders, and connect them with the resources they need to scale-up, create jobs, draw investment to the island. There’s enormous potential.”
