Equisoft Acquires VisCalc to Strengthen Agent-Centric Solutions

Canadian tech vendor Equisoft, which has strong presence in Latin America, has acquired Atlanta-based VisCalc in a move to enhance its agent-focused offerings.

Founded in 2017, VisCalc provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) illustration tools tailored for life insurers. Its platform simplifies the creation of fully compliant National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) illustrations and offers interactive presentations to improve insurance agents’ user experience.

This acquisition is expected to bolster Equisoft’s toolkit for small and mid-sized life insurance carriers. Industry analysts believe VisCalc’s solutions will complement Equisoft’s existing offerings, including its SaaS policy administration system, digital sales and service platforms, agency management tools, and advisor solutions.

Equisoft has reported consistent double-digit growth over the past decade, serving over 250 financial institutions across 17 countries. The company currently operates three delivery centers in the Latin America/Caribbean region, with facilities in Santiago, Chile, and Bogota, Colombia and Trinidad.
