Grupo Hotusa has big plans for its new hotel in Colombia — and it does mean BIG. The Spanish company’s Eurostars Torre Bacatá 5* will occupy a skyscraper currently under construction in Bogotá that is set to be the second tallest building in the country. The hotel will become the tallest in Latin America, with its 323 rooms (including 19 suites) taking up 40 of the building’s 66 floors. “[It’s] our most ambitious project since we opened the Eurostars Madrid Tower 5* in 2009, located in another iconic tower in Madrid,” company president Amancio López Seijas told Hospitality Net. “We believe firmly that a project of this scope will help transform and fuel development in Bogota.” (Photo: Barto920203)
