GEP Tech Will Hire 200 Employees in Costa Rica

Procurement solutions provider GEP Tech Company is set to bolster its customer support operations in Costa Rica by hiring an additional 200 employees.

The new hires will boost the company’s overall employment in the Central American country to close to 500, according to a press release from CINDE, Costa Rica’s investment promotion agency.

Based in Clark, New Jersey, GEP launched operations in Costa Rica in 2015. Today, 300 employees at its office in Lindora Park, Santa Ana, provide a range of back-office services to the company’s clients in Brazil, Canada and the United States.

“Our goal is to take advantage of Costa Rican talent and its experience to build a solid, innovative, and dynamic team that can provide best-of-class supply chain and procurement solutions to our global customers,” said Jose Roberto Perez, Operations VP for GEP Latin America.

Despite fewer human resources and higher wages, Costa Rica continues to exhibit phenomenal growth in global services, with statistics indicating that the sector employed approximately 11,000 people as of December 2022.

GEP, like most other international companies, is looking for multilingual technical graduates in Costa Rica. The company seemsoptimistic about absorbing enough staff.

In addition to procurement and supply chain solutions, GEP also provides consultancy and BPO services.
