Following the disastrous hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico this year, one Caribbean startup, Global Flavors, is working hard to reinvigorate local tourism.
The company, founded by Leslie Padró, provides unique tours that tell a country’s story through food. The service connects tourists and residents to local restaurants and has been a real success.
Although the country was rocked by the hurricanes, Padró and her team are already running tours in St. Thomas and San Juan, and she sees real strength in the sector.
“All of us in the tourism industry will rise,” Padró told Forbes. “Now, more than ever, we’re ready to work.”
