Indian IT services firm Infosys has reached a deal to acquire the US-based cloud consultant Simplus for US$250 million.
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Simplus offers a range of Salesforce consulting, training, and integration services, among others.
Infosys had acquired a similar cloud consultant called Fluido in September 2018. the latest acquisition positions the Indian firm as an end-to-end Salesforce enterprise cloud solutions and services provider, say industry analysts.
“Simplus brings to Infosys globally recognized Salesforce expertise, industry knowledge, solution assets, deep ecosystem relationships, and a broad clientele, across a variety of industries including high-tech, financial services, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing,” Infosys stated in a press release.
The American cloud consultant runs offices in the United States and Australia, in addition to a delivery center in Manila. Simplus may help Infosys grab a larger market share within the Salesforce ecosystem, besides boosting its cloud solutions offerings.
The acquisition confirms that Infosys is trying to build more profound expertise around Salesforce, as the demand for cloud solutions increases around the world.
“The strategic combination of scalable and agile global delivery capabilities of Simplus complements our effort to help global enterprises to transform their businesses,” says Pravin Rao, COO at Infosys.
