JetBlue is heading to Mexico City. Fliers can now get there directly from either Fort Lauderdale or Orlando, with nightly flights designed to arrive in the Mexican capital before midnight and early departures that will have them back to Florida just after the business day begins. The airline will also add a second weekly flight to Havana. It has been offering a Friday New York-to-Cuba route since the White House eased travel restrictions, and starting on December it will add a Tuesday flight. And that’s not all: In February, JetBlue will start flying to Quito from Fort Lauderdale. Combined, this is a significant push into the region from an airline that now has 35 destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Quito will become the airline’s fifth city in South America, after Lima, Bogotá, Medellin, and Cartagena.
