Miami Band “Locos por Juana” Release Latin Edition of the US National Anthem

The Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Grammy nominated band Locos por Juana, and filmmaker Milcho have released a Latinized edition of the US national anthem as part of their #wedreamamerica campaign.

Aiming to celebrate the multicultural heritage of Latinos in American history, the single samples the lyric “home of the brave” over a cumbia beat and features a mix of cultural influences. The band’s lead vocalist, Itagui Correa, moved to the US from Colombia when he was nine and became a US citizen in 2015.

#Wedreamamerica is part of a collection of campaigns aiming to support efforts to push through a clean DREAM act before congress decides the next move for DACA recipients in March next year.
