Nexus, the premier conference for technology services leaders in America’s nearshore, is relocating from its traditional home to Miami, debuting this fall.
Often called the “Gateway to Latin America” due to its strong cultural, economic, and geographical ties to the region, Miami is seen as an ideal location.
“In a sense Miami is a natural home for Nexus,” said Kirk Laughlin, Founder and Managing Director of Nearshore Americas. “The city has truly earned its place as the “business capital” of Latin America, and with all of the new pressures in the Nearshore market, we felt like now is the right moment to make the shift.”
Nexus 2025 will provide a platform for industry leaders to share knowledge and build strategic partnerships.
Since its inception in New Jersey in 2011, the event has featured several influential personalities, including New York Times columnist Joe Nocera and Silicon Valley insider Vivek Wadhwa, a Distinguished Fellow at Harvard.
Former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe and former Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla have also delivered keynote addresses at past editions of the event.
This year’s conference comes at a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping every aspect of the Nearshore business model.
To navigate this transformation, future leaders will require executive-level insights to build more resilient strategies while leveraging the Nearshore model.
Additionally, attendees will benefit from insights provided by NSAM’s sister organization, Next Coast Brokerage, which has long analyzed the key drivers of successful Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in the America’s nearshore market.
