NTT Data Set to Hire 6,000 IT Professionals in India

Japanese tech giant NTT Data aims to recruit 6,000 IT professionals in India by the end of 2024.

This ambitious hiring plan comes on the heels of NTT Data’s US$3 billion investment announcement in the South Asian country, per The Business Standard reporting. There are no details yet on when the hiring spree will begin.

The company plans to leverage generative AI solutions to streamline IT services for North American clients. Earlier in the year, NTT Data implemented mandatory AI training for all employees, requiring them to dedicate 100 hours per month to upskilling in this transformative technology.

Predominantly focused on cloud and IT services, NTT Data’s Indian operations primarily serve North American clients. BPO, a smaller division, also contributes to the company’s offerings.

Currently, the company has six data centers across India and plans to double that number by March 2024. Expansion plans were reiterated during the recent inauguration of a new data center in Kolkata.
