The deal will see Teleperformance acquire Aegis USA Inc. (AUI), which represents US$400 million in revenue and over 19,000 full time employees across 16 contact centers in the three aforementioned countries. AUI serves premium clients in the U.S. market in several key growing industries such as healthcare, financial services, travel and hospitality.

AGC Holdings Limited (Aegis), an outsourcing and technology company acquired by Essar Global Fund Limited in 2004, will remain in control of the remainder of its global BPO business, which extends across India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Australia, South Africa, Peru, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and the U.K.

This transaction fits the strategic objectives of Essar Fund in the rapidly growing high quality assets and delivering value creation, in this case through a sale to a high quality strategic player in Teleperformance.”
The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2014, subject to receipt of certain regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
