Teleperformance Bogota Soars and Next Up: Medellin

Global BPO provider Teleperformance is ending 2013 with 27 percent growth in Colombia and an expansive delivery center in the capital Bogota, where it will employ more than 2000 jobs in the months to come.

Built at a cost of $ 12 million, the new facility in Bogota is named “Campus Europe.” The BPO provider recently revealed that rapid expansion in Latin America led the company to increase its profits by 17% in the first half of this year.

The outsourcing firm says it has plans to launch similar office in the Colombia’s second city of Medellin in the first half of 2014. In Medellin, the company plans to employ about 1500 people.

Paris, France-based company says its Colombian operation has added nine clients in the past few years, adding that the Colombian operation benefited from ‘a shift in business from Chile.’

In a statement issued in July, Teleperformance announced that it launched two new delivery centers and expanded four existing sites in the nearshore region during the first six months of 2013.

The new facility in Bogota, according to Teleperformance, has an expansive space for holding training programs. “The opening of this new office is just a sample of the consolidation and growth of Teleperformance Colombia,” said the company.

“We continue to attract national and international clients and we have the human and technological resources to provide and guarantee exceptional service experiences , not only for our customers but for our employees,” Juan Rodrigo Hurtado, President of Teleperformance in Colombia, said.

The new delivery center has sprung up in the business complex of Connecta in Western Bogota.
