Transcom to Build its US Headquarters in South Carolina

BPO provider Transcom is gearing up to establish its first US contact center in Greenville, South Carolina.

The Stockholm Sweden-based company says the American office will be big enough to accommodate as many as 1,000 agents and that it will initially hire just 450 people.

It will be a hybrid office, meaning there will be employees working in the office as well as remotely from home.

The customer care services provider said it scouted for an ideal site across the US and finally ended up choosing South Carolina.

This is the company’s second delivery center in the Americas, with the other one located in the South American country of Colombia.

“South Carolina features a welcoming business community and diverse economy”‘ stated Transcom in a press release.

…. We envisioned that Transcom could expand operations here in the future to as many as 1,000 positions on a long-term basis,” said Kyla Starks, managing director, SVP at Transcom.

Transcom provides customer care, sales, technical support, and credit management services. With more than 30,000 employees across 28 countries, Transcom is a major BPO provider in Europe.
