TTEC Will Launch Yet Another Contact Center in Honduras

CX provider TTEC plans to launch another contact center in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, aiming to create “hundreds of jobs” in the Central American country.

TTEC said the expansion “meets the needs of US and Canadian clients,” adding that Honduras’ “large English-speaking population and strategic location” makes the country a perfect choice for nearshore CX services.

The company’s first delivery center in San Pedro Sula launched in 2017. Since then, it is estimated that TTEC has employed around 500 local bilingual agents.

With eleven universities and close cultural ties to the United States, San Pedro Sula has long been an attractive destination for nearshore service providers. Its location in the Central Time Zone is an added advantage.

The delivery center expands TTEC’s Latin American delivery footprint, which currently includes Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico.

The BPO provider looks set to open new CX centers in Guatemala as well, in addition to expanding existing offices in Mexico City, Sao Paulo and San Jose (Costa Rica). Analysts estimate the expansion can create over 1,000 jobs in Latin America alone in the next few months.

TTEC delivers CX solutions in over 50 languages. Its clients include the likes of AT&T, Comcast, Disney and Ford.
