The University of Texas and Mexico’s National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) have partnered on an academic research exchange program that will start with an investment of more than $21 million. By putting up $5 million and $16.3 million, respectively, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) will work with CONACYT to host some 30 doctoral students, nine postdoctoral fellows, and six faculty fellows each year. “This agreement allows UTSA to be a key player in strengthening the ties between Texas and Mexico, and to support the bilateral agenda of these two countries,” said university head Ricardo Romo.
