Following a number of announcements that airlines are reducing or cancelling services to Cuba, Americans are looking more at cruise liners as a means to travel to the island.
Major cruise lines, such as Norwegian, Carnival Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean International, have been adding sailings to Cuba to meet demand, as airlines continue to struggle. Many airlines have now concentrated most of their flights to Havana, where demand is strong, while eliminating flights to other Cuban cities.
The growth of cruise lines is largely because of the ease of travel, with accommodations and coordinated tours part of the deal, making it easier for passengers to meet the restrictions for travel to the island.
