Indian customer service provider Fusion CX struck a deal to partner with Belize-based RCC BPO.
Fusion CX announced a “strategic investment” on RCC, touting the “perfect alignment” between the capabilities of both companies.
“This strategic investment will further expand Fusion CX’s global footprint and enhance its ability to deliver exceptional CX services to its clients,” Fusion CX stated in a press release.
None of the companies provided much detail on what the strategic investment entails. RCC Executive VP David Long told NSAM that Fusion CX’s investment represents “a strong partnership, enabling both companies to leverage synergies and expand our global footprint.” No mention was made of monetary transactions.
“This collaboration will enhance our capabilities, align mutual goals, and drive long-term growth in both the offshore and nearshore industries,” Mr. Long said in an email statement. “With this partnership, we’ll be able to offer our clients a broader range of options across the globe.”
“Nothing will change in our operations, and we will remain RCC BPO,” Mr. Long added.
With a workforce of approximately 2,000 (primarily bilingual), RCC operates contact centers across Belize, including in smaller cities like Cayo, Orange Walk and Dangriga.
The majority of RCC’s clients are based in the US and Canada. The company serves various sectors, including healthcare and tourism. It also offers omnichannel support—spanning voice, chat, email, and social media services—to several US retailers.
Fusion CX stated that the primary motivation behind the deal is Belize’s proximity to the US and shared time zones, which Fusion says facilitate smoother working relationships and reduce cultural barriers.
Fusion CX also highlighted Belize’s large population of native English and Spanish speakers, making it an ideal location for customer service and communication-intensive roles.
Headquartered in Calcutta, Fusion CX employs approximately 17,000 professionals across 30 delivery centers in 15 countries around the globe, including Jamaica, Colombia, El Salvador and Mexico.
Its service portfolio includes process automation, in addition to customer services.
