Innovation Expert Vivek Wadhwa announced as Keynote Speaker at Nexus 2014

Renowned technology entrepreneur and academic Vivek Wadhwa will be the keynote speaker at the Nexus 2014 conference on Latin America’s burgeoning outsourcing sector. To be held in Jersery City on April 8, the conference will draw leading thinkers from the tech and global business world to discuss “innovation and acceleration” in the region’s IT and BPO marketplace.

Wadhwa, who serves as the Vice President of Innovation and Research at Singularity University, has been a prominent critic of the slow-moving immigration reform in the U.S. and will speak of the importance of increased tech collaboration across the Americas. An authoritative guest speaker, he has been named one of the “Most Influential Minds in Tech” by TIME Magazine, served as an instrumental advisor in the creation of StartUp Chile, and authored “The Immigrant Exodus: Why America is Losing the Global Race to Capture Entrepreneurial Talent,” which the Economist named a 2012 Book of the Year.

Aside from addressing customers’ demands for innovation and efficiency, Nexus 2014 will also focus on “The CXO Circle,” an examination of the trend for chief business leaders to seek revitalization of their organizations through outsourcing; “Geographic Sprints,” an examination of the four unique regions of the Americas; and “Expansion Equation,” an in-depth analysis of the potential for growth in the Latin American outsourcing industry.

Other prominent industry leaders due to speak at the event include Blanca Treviño, president and CEO of Softtek; Alfred Pacheco, CEO of CANIETI and MexicoIT; Peter Ryan, principal analyst at Ovum; Rhonda Vetere, CTO at Estee Lauder Companies; and Nearshore Americas’ managing director Kirk Laughlin.
