A picturesque island with dozens of popular beach resorts, Curacao has the highest per capita income in all of the Caribbean. These days, the island is pursuing a goal of attracting investments from information technology companies as part of a plan to diversify away from tourism and petroleum.
It has launched what it calls an ‘open arms’ policy with a special focus on bringing digital companies onto the island.
At the summit, the country’s investment promotion agency CINEX will announce a partnership agreement with Venture Cafe, a US-based not-for-profit organization that incubates young entrepreneurs and provides workspaces for startups and small digital companies, according to Curacao Chronicle.
