US equity firm Accel-KKR acquired three technology companies in Latin America this week: Pegaso Tecnologia, Indicium Solutions and Facture.
All three companies specialize in providing e-invoicing and tax complaints services primarily to mid-market and enterprise customers.
Upon completion of the transaction, KKR will combine all three companies under one roof, allowing them to cross-sell their services to customers.
“The companies will work together to create a single platform that will lead the way in digital compliance, innovation and transparency for business clients in Latin America,” the equity fund said in a press release.
KKR appointed former Meta4 executive Patricia Santoni as CEO, giving her responsibility for running the combined company.
Indicium Solutions’ technology platform is reportedly popular with Mexican businesses due to the e-invoicing solutions that make it easier for businesses to navigate through Mexico’s cumbersome government regulations.
Based in Mexico City, Indicium claims to serve more than 1,000 customers across the country.
Facture’s operations are limited to Colombia, but they provide essentially the same services as Mexico-based Pegaso Tecnologia and Indicium Solutions. The company claims to know Mexico’s tax rules better than anyone outside the country’s borders.
