Sean Goforth, director of research at Nearshore Americas, will speak at an upcoming business and technology conference in Tijuana about how Mexico’s outsourcing industry will evolve over the next five years.
The one-day event, scheduled for March 8 in the the largest city in the Mexican state of Baja California, will bring together international outsourcing service buyers, industry leaders, and trade experts. At the conference, Goforth will enrich the conference agenda with a presentation titled, “Nearshore Leadership Amid Shifting Realities.”
“Mexico is positioned to deliver the full gamut of business services for years to come,” said Goforth. “This differentiates it from many other markets that are nearing saturation or experiencing workforce challenges that are complicating delivery.”
He is expected to detail how Mexico’s BPO/ITO sectors will evolve from 2016 to 2020.
Goforth argues that Mexico’s position in the global BPO/ITO space will be enhanced by its enduring strengths, including sound macroeconomic fundamentals and a high number of tech graduates, coupled with rising degrees of innovation and strong links to the U.S. tech industry.
Goforth is the author of Cuba’s Readiness for ICT Transformation, a 67-page report from Nearshore Americas that analyzes Cuba’s telecommunications infrastructure and the strengths of the island’s IT workforce. He is also a respected thought leader known for data-driven insights on Latin American markets and nearshore industry trends. Among other publications, Goforth recently finished a series of reports on IT wages in Latin America for Nearshore Americas.
The conference titled “Encuentro de Negocios de Tecnologias de la Informacion en Tijuana, B.C,” will generate synergies among all foreign participants involved. Attendees will take advantage of the insights and networking opportunities offered to consolidate a position in the Mexican market, leading to important alliances and creating jobs.
Over the course of the conference, participants will be able to enjoy various panel discussions on the latest trends, developments and opportunities in IT services and BPO delivery from Mexico. Participants will also be able to benefit from diverse networking opportunities.
