Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is set to inaugurate a major delivery center in Londrina, a city in the southern Brazilian state of Paraná.
The Indian IT services giant established its presence in Londrina in 2018 and currently employs around 1,700 professionals there.
The initiative is expected to create over 1,600 new jobs in Londrina over the next five years, putting TCS’s headcount in Paraná past 3,000 workers.
Londrina offers a high quality of life at a lower cost compared to major Brazilian hubs like São Paulo, making it an attractive location for recruitment.
The new delivery center will focus on key areas like business transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive business operations, providing a comprehensive suite of IT services for domestic and international clients, according to a statement from TCS to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
TCS’ Brazilian operations have overcome initial challenges and secured contracts with major corporations in the country. Today, they boast a prestigious client list that includes Oi-Brasil Telecom, Grupo OESP and several leading Brazilian banks.
Bruno Rocha, Country Head of TCS Brazil, expressed confidence in attracting top talent in the location.
“We aim to double our workforce in critical domains like cybersecurity, cloud computing, AI, automation and IT infrastructure services,” he stated.
